What is GR Cup?
Toyota GR Cup is a single-make series. Drivers compete in identical factory built GR86 Cup Cars, which emphasizes driver skill. The series is typically sanctioned by SRO Motorsports. The series launch in North America in 2023.
What are the different types of courses in GR Cup?
There are two types of circuits in GR Cup. They are the street course and road course.
The Java House Grand Prix of Arlington is a street course.
How does qualifying work on a Street Course?
Street course qualifying is "European-Style" qualifying where the cars perform timed laps to see which driver is the quickest.
